The Indigent Program is available to eligible residents of Zavala County who are not eligible for Medicaid or do not have any other form of health coverage. Eligibility is based on residency, income and resource guidelines per household. Zavala County does not own or operate a hospital, but eligible clients may receive services through the local hospitals in neighboring counties and through other contracted providers. The Indigent Program covers services that include:

-Primary care services

-Specialty care services

-Hospital in-patient services

-Hospital out-patient services

-Emergency Room services
